A beautiful collection of 87 unique oil-on-canvas modern abstract-art paintings, representing the different stages in the lifespan of mankind.
As a way of being thankful for the years lived to date, OP Master Painter, already in his seventies, expresses in each of these paintings, classified by Age –from 1 to 87–, whatever emotions came to his mind according to each age of his past life –and whatever imaginary feelings he forsees for his remaining years– until the age of 87, when he reckons his whole life would already have been fulfilled, bearing in mind the statistical life expectancy in developed countries.
In OP’s collection, we can see a clear contrast between the former and the latter years.
In the initial ages, there is a clear presence of color, like in Age 1.
Quite remarkably is Age 15 –a whirl of mixed emotions–. Whereas bright colors represent the hope for a better future at Age 18.
We can also see the typical astounding tribulations of youngsters at Age 24, which seem to have disappeared and led to relative peace of mind at Age 33 (the age of Christ’s death).
All of which contrasts notably with Ages 82 to 86, when supposedly the artist foresees a clear lack of new experiences –and therefore few “color” in his life–.
Finally, a bunch of mixed emotions are present in the final year of Age 87.
Age 1
There is a clear presence of color at life’s beginning.
Age 15

Age 18
Bright colors represent the hope for a better future at the beginning of adult life.
Age 24
The typical astounding tribulations of youngsters in their twenties.
Age 33
Relative peace of mind at the age of Christ’s death.

A clear lack of new experiences –and therefore few “color” in life– at old age.
Age 87
A bunch of mixed emotions are present in this final year.
